Description: The silky soft Hurmaava shirt is made of nicely draping cupro in the Unikot pattern, which has small Nano Unikko flowers on top of Pieni Unikko flowers. The shirt has a short standing collar, a short concealed button list in the front, and wide cuffs and slits at the sleeve ends. The hemline has a rounded cut and side slits. Cupro is an artificial fiber made from cellulose that requires less water, fertilizers, and pesticides to grow than for example cotton. Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.
