PaaPii was born in the twirl of everyday life and imagination. The first stuffed toys and kids’ interior objects were created on the kitchen table, in a small village on the coast of Finland. In 2011 PaaPii grew into a real business and the organic textiles, produced in EU, became a buzz within handicrafts circles. The new clothing line for women and children was a thrill for family lives. A sewing factory was founded in Kokkola, where PaaPii employs today over 10 skilled makers. PaaPii also focuses eco-conscious production: about 50-60% of all the power PaaPii uses is produced out of two renewable energy sources – their factory has solar panels on the roof and a geothermal heat pump. The rest of the electricity they use is bought from a local power plant (Kokkolan Energia), and it is green power, which has an European GO -certificate. Therefore, all the power they use in their factory is produced completely out of renewable energy sources! 97% of PaaPii’s clothes are made of organic cotton. All PaaPii’s jersey and sweatshirt knits are made of GOTS- and Ökotex -certified organic cotton
