Description: This heavyweight cotton fabric features the Joonas pattern. This fabric was printed with a color mixed from dyes left over from our own printing production. The color of the products varies due to the different mixtures of leftover dyes used. The color of the product may differ from the product image. 25% of the cotton used in this product is recycled cotton. We are on a mission to increase the share of long-lasting and sustainable materials in our products and constantly test and develop new, lower-impact practices in our production process. In 1961, Maija Isola spent many evenings and nights working in Marimekko’s print factory – painting in gentle, sweeping brushstrokes to the sway of music. Meter upon meter of new patterns emerged. On one of those nights, Joonas (Jonah), a pattern inspired by the sun dancing on the waves of the Mediterranean, saw the light of day. Please note, fabrics sold by the yard are cut from the end of the bolt and may not start and end as shown in the image. Half-yard increments available. Multiple yards will be cut in ONE CONTINUOUS PIECE. Cut fabric is final-sale, no returns or exchanges.
